I was listening to how steve harris was playing on the trooper . and i realised how fast it was . all the sudden stops . He sounds like he is using and pick and muting the strings ? correct me if i am wrong . but does anyone know his technique . I think he is an excellent bassist . and i would like to know more . thank you !

No he doesn´t use a pick, he plays with two fingers.
Clean sound and a lot of power.
