First, learn to use the search function.

Then, try http://www.basstabarchive.com/lessons/ there's a 12 part introduction to a lot of the basic tapping techniques: single string, chords, contrapuntal, etc. Have fun.

Folsum Prison Blues is what got me started. Our three-piece band does it every show now, and the guitarist can play fills and lead while I'm still holding-down the chords up high on the neck (uh.. two-note chords, that is - but don't tell anyone; they think I'm a genius...). It's extra-easy on a 5-string because your hands can stay close to each other through the whole song, but on a four you have to cross your arms pretty far. The audience seems to dig it.

Try here. This guy is incredible! This has got to be one of the best sites I've ever come across for tapping:

as I posted in another thread *but not on tapping* a good place to get some books on tapping is bassbooks.com. They have a wide selection of books, and a few on tapping.
