Question Tapping?...

Sign in to disble this ad
gday guys,

Im just now learning to tap, so i was wondering if anyone could give me a couple of songs with some fairly basic/easy tapping in it to get me started. And any tabs of them too would be BLOODY FANTASTIC

Cheers
Chips

It's one of Eddie Van Halen's showpiece songs for guitar. There probably is tab out there but I don't know whether it would be playable on bass... it probably doesn't qualify as easy, either!

I only meant the eruption part, not ****ty solo eddie added.

And yes, Eruption is playable on bass.

make your life EASIER and first off, lower your strings if you are planning on making tapping something you would like to do more of... There is so much i can do now that I lowered my strings... My little pinky finger can do stuff now and it doesn't even have to try...

...and put a hair-scrunchy on there!

The first things I learned were:
Walking on the Sun - Smashmouth
Waiting in Vain - Marley
Folsum Prison Blues - Cash

Also, a pedal compressor really makes it easier at first - I use a Boss CS-3.

Look into some Stu Hamm stuff, he's just about the king of two hand tapping. Check out stuff like:

Quahogs Anyone? or the National Anthem
