Tapping in Everyday Music

Who here has successfully integrated two handed tapping into their music/some songs without being too gimmicky about it? Just curious... I came up with some new basslines over the past few days, one of them uses some tapping and just sounds like a normal line, like I used it in a way that disguised what I was doing, so it just sounds like bass not a bassist trying to show off their tapping abilities...

So who does this??? lol my english could definitely be better here

I am finally starting to use tapping pretty regularly in my bands music. I rarely do flambouyant tapping unless it's for a fill or something. Our style is probably something like alternative/tech metal.

The beg of this clip has a tapping line of mine-

I tap sometimes. My main group is a trio, but I do it in sessions for churches (contemporary Christian music), too. I mostly do it when I'm outlining chords (for example, on the I chord, I'll arpeggiate 1-3-5 and tap the 9, then on the IV chord, arpeggiate 1-3-5 and tap the 7, etc). This would all be in the relatively low range on the instrument, and all closed chords (except the 9, of course). I *never* tape Van Halen-style on the bass.... I let the guitar player do that ****.
