I'd say that the fanned system is really easy to get used to, but I will say that tapping, especially right hand tapping in the upper register, was the toughest to adjust. It just puts you're right hand in a strange placement. I suppose you can adjsut to it, but with the half-hour or so of playing a fanned system bass, I didn't find the right-hand tapping was adjusting all that easy at all.
