Just came to learn about the Tascam MP-BT1 device from another thread, so I wonder if there's any software w/ similar qualities that can run on a PC.

Guitar Shed has a reasonable slow-down function, and can store your tabs in one place.

I don't like it that much, but it might fit your needs.

If all you want to do is slow down stuff to learn without changing pitch, there are some Winamp plug-ins that do this.

Audacity can slow down without changing pitch, and my new favorite is the Amazing Slow Downer for iPhone/Touch.

However, after spending a little time with my Tascam MP-BT1, I am most likely going to keep it. I took some time with the effects and noticed hearing the bass part improved significantly if my bass is eq-ed and compressed via the internal effects. Might just be that my bass frequencies are no longer conflicting with the boost or enhance effects.
