I have a problem , Im following the one finger per fret way to play scales and lines however If i'm playing a scale that involves a very wide finger stretch ( mixolidian mode on F#) I find that if I try to play it with "proper" technique my wrist and forearm start to get tired after a while .

I tried other ways like pivoting my thumb or sliding my hand however I get a lot of noise and still feel numb I like to play clean however I don't want to hurt myself . Is there a proper way to play these wide stretches in a safe way ?

Just keep practicing it, and make sure to do 12-12-12-12, 13-13-13-13, 14-14-14-14, 23-23-23-23, 24-24-24-24, 34-34-34-34 drills up and down the neck (the numbers corresponding to finger numbers in one-finger-per-fret technique). I had trouble with this in the past, but it's much easier now. You may still have to move your hand slightly to reach the fourth fret, which is okay, as long as it does not bring your wrist undue strain.

Its ok to roll your hand over... you can stretch, but dont need to as much if you rotate your hand..

its probably a good idea to stretch out your hands before playing...especially when you will be stratching in your playing, otherwise your bound to cause injury...also maybe work on doing stretching excersizes such as 1-5,1-5,1-5,1-5 or if you cant reach that then maybe slide it up the neck or do 1-4, do them a little at a time, dont strain your hand doing 1-5 if you cant reach it...these will help to stretch out your fingers, and if you do them for longer amounts of time, they will build your endurance.
