Does anyone find this useful or cool? The technique I stumbled across one day and I am looking for criticism and opinions. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNF5f...e=channel_page
The bass is a dual darkstar through a p.a. of all things and the dog is my hero. |

Do a search for Jaco Pastorius, and you'll see good harmonic work. Vic Wooten did Amazing Grace in mostly harmonics.
Whether it's useful or cool is up to the listener and the player. I like it. |

Is that a standard I'm not familiar with?

| | | | So apparently trolls do exist on bass forums.
The OP just posted a technique video, no need to tear him apart. He didn't ask to be compared to Wooten or Jaco.
Go play WoW and join those forums. They like trolling there. |

I think people are bemused by the "truth or dare" thread title and feel annoyed that they have been drawn in by a misleading title - whereas if the thread title had been " Here is a video of me playing....etc. " - then they would have just ignored it!!
False advertising!!

I personnally think his is actually wearing it a bit high for his technique and that wrist angle is gonna bite him someday.
All IMHO. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
