edit: not exactly "inside info" but I got this off Norwood's facebook fan page After months of development and creation, we NOW have a date for registration and studies to begin for bass players around the world to learn from Captain Norwood Fisher.
On February 15, 2010, an elite group of bass players from around the world will officially study under the direction of Captain Norwood Fisher in a program designed to take your musical abilities into a new stratosphere.
The program is going to be a lot more intensive then initially developed. MORE videos, more lectures, more exercises, your questions addressed by the Captain.
Each month, Captain Norwood will be providing the students of NABA with:
Weekly video lectures
Weekly exercises
Handwritten tablature
Signature Norwood Fisher techniques
Question & Answer Sessions
Monthly Competitions
Student Reviews
Fishbone Bass Studies
Audio files for NABA by the Captain
NABA players are in for an outrageous online learning platform straight from the nutt of the Captain. Be prepared to battle the forces of Evil Agent Roper Furley and take your bass to space.
Registration details will be to you within the month of January via email. Be on the look out!

| | | Currently enrolled. He sent out a questionaire to all students, asking the typical questions about how long you've been playing, how would you describe your playing, who are you influences, that sort of thing. I started a conversation, just asking which of his albums to listen to, and he wrote me a reply ( AFAIK it was from the man) suggesting I listen to the EP. He seems genuine. Classes start the 15th, so I'll keep you guys updated. |

Has anyone already received the enrollment date and time? |

Please don't be turned away from these lessons because of tablature or your skill level. The program is designed for intermediate to advanced players but beginners are not excluded. Everyone can benefit from this program. The tablature is really designed for beginners to be able to participate. If you watch the video of Norwoods playing, it can be difficult to see which frets he is using. Sometimes it's hard to see which string he is hitting. So for the beginners, tabs will help them see these things. There is plenty of stuff in this program for the advanced player.
I will have to admit that I am a biased because Norwood is a friend of mine, but the lessons are very affordable. $30 a month. Why not sign up for one month and see if you like it. If you like Norwood and his playing, it's a great opportunity to learn his techniques and receive feedback.

| | | | Honestly, I thought it was free, so I signed up. I was surprised to see that it cost money (but silly me, expecting something substantial for nothing at all). Being both out of spare time and spare change, I can't really get into it. I wish I could. |
