Right. My pinky sticks out at about a 90 degree angle when I play; always has, always will. I couldn't care less.

Some good points raised in the threads.
The coin in the pinky is just a technique to give the little finger something to do, i.e. hold the coin.
Every finger in the human hand is capable of independant movement, just because you can't does not mean it's not possible.

The fingers are opposable to the thumb, which means the tips can all touch each other, and each one of the fingers can touch the fleashy pad at the base of the thumb.

It is safe to hold coins in any finger and exercise the others with out fear of injury, it is overuse or mis-use that damages hands.

It is not a problem to have stick out little finger or one that moves...thats just a personal thing. If it does not interfere with playing , leave it, IMO
