Works fine, I like them because they stay on your thumb while playing fingerstyle so you can alternate during a song. I also use them for a "pick and pop" technique that I use, similar to pop and slap, but instead of slapping with the thumb I am picking with the thumb. Gives me better definition on the picked notes, and not such a heavy funk sound, but great for patterns. Try it!

Another cool thing is felt picks. Larger than regular plastic picks, and because they are felt you don't lose your grip when it gets sweaty. Excellent note definition, but without the "clickity clack" of a plastic pick.

the problem with felt picks (at least, with mine) is that it leaves it's residues (sp?) all over the pickups. I can't see such a pick lasting very long with the way it disintegrates so quick.
