Thumb technique questions

I've been looking at videos of Wooten using his double thumb technique, and i was trying to figure out how exactly to do it... Does he slap the string and then thumb it on the way back up, or does he jus go up and down with his thumb liek a pick. Can someoene try to explain this in words to me, or send me a video of someone explaining it and doing it.

Secondly, is double thumping and thumbing different? if so whats double thumping?
