Thump/Slap on B string

What technique do you use when slappping on B string? My action is low, so I have to really hit light on B, but normal pressure on rest of strings. Do you even slap B string?

Sure, just use the old Chuck Rainey technique and place your thumb over the last couple of frets of the fingerboard and slap in a diagonal movement ACROSS the B string that comes to rest on the E. A lot of time you'll get clatter, etc. from slapping into the fingerboard or too low (over the pickups). Any Youtube clip of Victor Wooten (particularly from his Super Bass Solo Technigue DVD or Bass Extremes) shows how this works.
As an added bonus, this will make it easy to Double-thumb

I learned to slap in an screwed up way, so I may not have the best answer. On my four string I slapped only the E string and occasionally D and just didn't touch D and G. On my 5-string though, I slap on B and E and I slap hard. But I also slap down by the bridge on my bass, because I never properly learned slap and that's just where I played.

I've been experimenting with palm muting on the low B and that seems to help give the notes some much needed definition.
