Treating Sore Fingertips

Sign in to disble this ad
On intense practice days, I sometimes have to quit earlier than I'd like to because of sore fingertips. I do alot of dynamic lefthand moving, sliding, hammerin, etc. Anyone discover a miracle snakeoil solution or some way to make your tips harder or just remove the pain?

If you're just talking about surface pain (burning from where your fingers touch the string), then just keep playing, its good and good for you.

When I used to get blisters, I would lance them on the side away from where they strike the string, and give them a day or so to cool off.

Take it like a man! A lot of people get fingertip pain (besides myself of course), and honesly it's the same as walking barefoot. It hurts at first, but you get tougher and get used to it.
