Otherwise it's possible but the amount of force required to produce a good sound negates the purpose of the technique in the first place haha. |

| | | | ya, for sure, but then look at bill dickens, he does double thumb stuff on a 7 string with high action(that is, he practices with very high action)

he gets his whole hand in there, 10 finger technique and all that, but the basic down up concept is still there.
