Troubles with 2-handed tapping part on Athiest's "Mother Man"

I was working on getting this great tech-metal song down the other day and faired well on most parts. Tony Choy's bass tapping interlude is pretty intense, despite it's tranquil nature.

3:21 Two hand tapping:
|-12----------1212-------1215-15---------15-15---------|
|-12----------1212-------1215---15131210-15---15131213-| (The fills are not
|-------10---------5---5----------13---------8---8-----| 100% correct..)
|----10----10--------3---------13----13--------6-------|

The part I'm having trouble with is the latter part of the bar where the fills are added between the tapped chords- how do I fit all my fingers in there? I can't find a comfortable way to do it.

How are you dividing the parts? I don't know the song but judging by the tab, I would try playing the bottom two strings with the right hand and the top two with the left, thus avoiding any crossover. The position shifts are quite extreme but I don't think theres really any way round that.

Haha another Atheist fan...I love this song and have yet to get the whole song down, so I am unfamiliar in playing this part, but it sounds and looks very interesting to play. But I would have to agree with velvetkevorkian about having each hand work on a different group of strings.

Oddly enough I just got all 3 Atheist albums in the mail today. Listening to the tune, I stand by my last post

It's the upper-register parts that have the simultaneous chordal tapping and the melodic fills all at once that're giving me a hard time.

Their first USA reunion show isn't far from my college. December 2nd at the Auditory Assault Festival at Sonar. I'm already in talks with Relapse to interview them for my radio show and newspaper.

Maybe try playing it all on the top string?
