| Before you do anything, you need a professional diagnosis of your injurys current state.
Go back to your GP and tell him you want Physio, and you want another examination of it to see how it has healed/or is healing with a specialist
Unless you ask it will not be offered. Once you ask for the physio you will be put on a list. Once you ask for a re-examination you will be pit on a list.
Do not take no for an answer, tell your GP you want to see a specialist.
Your GP is a General Practitioner, not a surgeon, not a nerve specialist, so not a neurosurgeon.
A neurosurgeon will determine if it is just tissue damage that needs time to heal, or if any nerves are damaged.
If you have nerve damage then it need to be corrected the best it can so you can function normally.
If not then you will have an understanding of the limits you face when using your hand/arm. Depending on your age you need to en-sure that the injury does not deteriate as you get older and become more than it should.
Time is the healer, correct diagnosis helps manage that time, physio will get you the most out of that time. |
