Tuning deferently

Now ive always played 5-strings. always, ive played for many years and got lots of basses. but thats not the point. sence i could never afford a 6 string in the beginning and i took one of my 5-strings and threw on smaller strings and tuned it to E - C insted of B - G. i liked it and now i always use that tuning for that 5 string. the only reason im putting this up is for the people out there that dont have the money for a 6 string or want to go to a higher regeister they can by converting the 5 string.

Its great on solos if you wanna mock a guitar or thumb sweep pick it sounds awsome. and just add distortion and a wah and you have your self the highs of a guitar but yet the mids and the lows of a bass.

but if your not into the whole soloing thing like a guitar it works wonders on tapping. it adds a little loving ness to it that alot of stuff doesnt have.

this also makes it great for funk you get the great break through with still the suddle thumps. all around it made me a better player.

I was just wondering if anyone else has tried this before. and if so how'd it work for them.
