Various Questions

1. Muting? Is there some sort of technique for this on a 5 string bass? When ever I try to play a solo on around the thin strings my E or B strings keep vibrating.

2. Posture: I have to make myself comfortable when I play bass standing but when I do, I look stupid.

3. Floppy B String: I have this problem where my B string is really loose. Whenever I put my thumb on it to mute it then try to pop a string. The B makes this nasty buzzing noise against the frets. (It is tuned correctly)

For muting try the "Floating Thumb" technique. There is a sticky about it at the top of the forum. Here is a clip demonstrating it.
