So I had a question about this technique. How do you keep your index finger when you do the pluck? Is it similar to a pop where the index finger stays stiff and your whole hand does the motion, or is the motion more centered around the index finger itself making a plucking motion and minimal hand motion? Thanks in advance.

Looks like he's doing a bit of both, but with emphasis on the finger itself doing the motion.
