video of me trying to learn triplets. help.

so last night i decided to try and learn the victor wooten triplet technique....thumb slap down - thump pluck up - index finger pop. right?

so here's a video with some of that thrown in. am i doing it right? ideas? comments?

my only advice would be to start a little slower and really concentrate on the exact rhythm of the triplet. just to get it nice and clean, y'know?
from what i could tell, you're doing it pretty well... wish i could see sans the youtube lag, but whatever.

Gorgeous bass tone

The only thing I'd say is to work on the timing on the double thumbs, it's a bit uneven.

Otherwise, it's coming along great

Yes and yes. It's difficult with it being out of synch but it certainly looks right (I treid watching it with the sound off!)

Your are working on a rythmic techinique in a vacume. Get a metronome and/or drum machine and slow things down until you can lock consitiantly. Then notch up the tempo. Takes some dicipline.

and try it all on the same string, and just playing what you normally do to practice, basically just do what vic says in that video, but remember you aren't going to get that good overnight it take some serious disipline and skill to get that far.
