Ways to dampen sound

Sign in to disble this ad
I live in a house with 4 other people. And no matter what I do, I am always to loud. I need it a certain volume so I can play along with music that I play through my amps. But to get there is to step over the sound boundry. Is there anyway to dampen the sound, without reducing my tone? Also note I am 15, so this would have to be incredibly cheap to free. Thanks in advance!

Use headphones and unplug your bass.

++1. But be careful - you can easily damage your ears if you go too loud. Use good quality earphones which clearly reflect bass sounds.
