No actually because it was cumbersome. It's got a ton of diamonds on it.
No, not at all. But I did take it off. Now I've gotten used to it.

If I went on stage without it, I would be attacked by hundreds of women wanting to be with me. The ring helps ward them off and sends a message that I am already taken. Even then, once in a while some moistened bint will try to make an advance, in which case I give her that squinty glare that says "back off chick, I know what you're after" and that usually gets the message across.

Just about every other married guy I know found the same thing.
Never took advantage, but it did leave me scratching my head for a long time. Wish I knew that when I was single!

Come to think of it, I have my original wedding ring, which was dirt cheap, and its a friggin oval at this point. Im not sure I could get it off if I tried! I had bought a really expensive one several years back but Im allergic to nickle and that one had a silver band on the back under the diamonds that gave me a rash so back to the cheap one. |

| | | | Ive lost 2 due to taking off at gigs...first one was stolen out of the pocket in my gig bag...someone was watching apparently, which is a tad bizarre because it was just a plain mans wedding band, seriously it was $125 new, whats the point of stealing THAT? I cant say what happened to the second one.... I am on my third one now....
..as for chicks digging married guys...yes. whats up with that? So funny that women walk around disparaging the other sex for their proclivity for infidelity, women are not ANY different. |

I got into the habit of doing that at work, as there was the possibility that it would get caught on something and rip my finger off. I need that finger.
My wife has gotten used to the idea. I wear it on my finger when we go out, though.

My drummer is a watch collector, and he had me wear a heavy self-winding watch during a rehearsal one day. Threw my vibrato all off, 'cause when I stopped, it kept moving! Both of my watches are lightweight and usually don't interfere. |

I have 2 rings, a titanium and tungsten one. Titanium holds heat like crazy so even though it's light it becomes annoying after a while. The tungsten one is really heavy but rarely gets in the way.
sometimes when I'm doing a session on guitar and I'm doing a fast run or a tight chord for multiple takes I take it off. . . but I've gotten very used to it on bass |
