What Is The Best Key?

...Ok, here it is. It's random, a waste of time, and silly, but here it is. Discuss.
...I doubled up on a couple, sorry if I offend any C# fans!

The one that starts my Vette ! Are you kidding... the best (easiest) one is probably not what the rest rest of the band will be using... so the answer is... the best one is the right one. (On a personal note, I wish I wouldn't but I almost always end up practicing in "C", try not to rely on open strings, they don't transpose as easily and it's important that you get to know the relative positions on the neck.)

I've had a lot of fun bar hopping in "Key" West.

The original key. I hate transposed tunes. They never sound quite "right" to me.

Bb because it confuses guitarists who don't have a capo.

The best key is the one where the singer is most comfortable.

This thread is just asking for D minor, as thirtyhz already said.

D minor... that saddest of all keys. It instantly makes people weep.
you forgot the key of S... which is achieved by laying your forearms down straight across the keyboard.

Sorry Bruce, not your question, but the OP's. I totally agree with you. If it's a matter of playing positions or keys that are more or less comfortable to play in, then the question makes a little more sense. However, it shouldn't make a difference what key a song is played in, especially for those of us who use a 5er.

I actually am an offended C# fan. I don't appreciate being mixed up with the inferior key of D flat.
