Are you kidding... the best (easiest) one is probably not what the rest rest of the band will be using... so the answer is... the best one is the right one. (On a personal note, I wish I wouldn't but I almost always end up practicing in "C", try not to rely on open strings, they don't transpose as easily and it's important that you get to know the relative positions on the neck.) |

I totally agree with you. If it's a matter of playing positions or keys that are more or less comfortable to play in, then the question makes a little more sense. However, it shouldn't make a difference what key a song is played in, especially for those of us who use a 5er.
