What is John Patitucci doing here?

The exact time is at 1:07. He's doing a pull off thing.

I want to transcribe this solo, but can't figure it out. If anyone can help and tell me what he's doing, it'd be great.

Thanks,

Mark

I am not near an instrument, but I think that at 1:07 he plays a lick that goes VI to V (maybe bV?), then slides down rapidly from IV to III, and it's the slide that is hard to pinpoint.

I thought so.
Just wanted to double check with you guys at TB. The rest seems pretty straight forward.

I love Rocco, but I have always thought he appearesd very uncomfortable being placed into a "soloing" situation with this group of guys. I don't think he blows very much.

Good ear.
That's exactly what he does.

Who was that cat toward the end, the one who did the George Benson "scat with your solo" thing? That was HIP!

Me neither. ToP came to my school. The Horn section. And they said Rocco doesn't like soloing much. He's more of a groove-monster. WHICH HE IS.
