I've mostly been playing along to stuff that doesn't have bass already though, like classical guitarists. |

| | | | Anything with James Brown is fun to play. Some of the bass lines from the JBs are catchy but simple. I would personally like to learn how to play everything on What's Going On note-for-note but that won't happen so...
I should be playing more country music, since that's what pays the bils 'round here.

I put all of songs on the setlists in a playlist on my IPod. Sometimes I just put it on shuffle and play to a random mix. Keeps me on my toes.

After reading the first couple chapters of Wooten's book, this CD just seemed like a perfect fit to the "groove" lesson.

Give it a go, it's not as hard as it seems once you get started.
Love jamming to nuyorcan soul records - Louis Bennedetti, Masters at work etc etc.
Standing in the shadows of motown gives me endless play along fun too!
I jam along to the radio as well - Put on Gilles Peterson or BenjiB's latest shows for 2 hours of quality music in varying styles. |
