I'm on the market for one. I am currently using this one:

With the exception of his hair (1995) I dig it a lot. It's helped me quite a bit.

Any other recommendations on how to step up my game a little? I may be heading to guitar center tomorrow to check out their selection.

Best Youtube Instructional Videos

Not strictly geared towards beginner, just good advice for all levels. Absorb what you can.

I'd recommend this book by Ed Friedland. There are three volumes, which can be got as one spiral bound edition. Very reasonably priced for such a lot of information. Each book comes with it's own CD.
