Well at least it is proof that with freedom comes creativity. Nothing wrong with this in my opinion and certainly I have seen a few guitar players that laid their instrument down like this. Kind of like tapping piano style. Might be fun to experiment with playing this way when doing bass runs with the left while chording and playing melodies with the right. I say more power to him!

Nothing is off limits these days with bass. Have to wonder if this guy also plays the traditional way, probably does.

I've tried this with some success when my right wrist was splinted due to CTS.

It is interesting, but im pretty sure i can play those lines and probably have a better tone the standard way. And if i couldnt i could def two hand tap it, i just dont see a need for sitting with your bass on your lap. Also, what does "Макс Лёва Жека батарейка" mean, atleast thats what it seems like they are saying.

He's certainly making music with it and that's all that matters in my book! And I like the 'ugly' aggressive tone, it fits the vibe.

They dedicated this song to Kraftwerk, so it means nothing or Max-Robot Jeka-Battery(from Cyrillic).

Bassist makes nice range of sounds for the group with only bass and drums.

Here one more video for the ones who are interested
