Question Whistle While You Work?

Yo Bassists,
I watched a vid of Richard Bona on youtube a couple of days ago and a saw that as he was soloing, he sang along the notes of the solo. I began to try this during random solos and it amazed me how well I could get the notes. It also added an edge of professionalism (sounds great in world music). It also helps me expand my solo technique by shaping it around my vocal range. I just wanted to know if amyone else had tried this.

Peace,
Greg O

I watched Otiel Burbridge do this live once. It looks/sounds amazing; at times its hard to tell where the sound is coming from. Definately shows a great connection between the mind and the bass.

I do it more on upright, but yeah. GREAT practice... I also practice trading 4s with myself...sometimes playing exactly what I just sang, or sometimes reacting to it. I highly recommend doing it.
