Wrist Pain, I marked the areas in picture.

Pain is most sever in the darker areas, possible explanations? tendonitis? I have tried loosening up one playing too.

When exactly does the pain happen?

What is your wrist position when playing?

Here are a couple of previous TB links you may want to peruse:
Help! My wrist/fingers are sore/tingling
Carpal Tunnel

Well, my pinky tingles and its when I stretch my pinky, I've been working on keeping a looser grip and moving my hand more.

This sometimes happens to me when I play a bass with a narrow neck like a jazz and play fast riffs over and over. I switched to a wider neck and it stopped. Try changing your hand and thumb position.

It's not Carpal Tunnel related as it is on the wrong side.
It will be an Ulnar related problem if there is one.
Normally for the for an entrapment of the Ulnar Nerve there would be a residual feeling in the ring finger as well.

Looks like a localised problem to the edge of the hand maybe, and that is the problem here a picture tells nothing but opens up the doors to what if's and may-bees.
Go see a medical professional and tell them the whole story of what you do and how you use your hands, let the examine you and come to a proper diagnosis. Sorry but it's the only sure way to find out for certain what is doing on....like I said I cannot be Carpal Tunnel related as it in in the Ulnar nerve not the Median nerve, and Carpal tunnel is Median nerve related as it is the only nerve that uses the Carpal tunnel so can be the only nerve to be related to it.
Someone may say it's Cubital tunnel syndrome, this just means the Ulnar nerve is trapped or pinched at the elbow, but then you would have that residual feeling in the ring finger....as you would for any sort of Ulnar nerve entrapment.

So why does that area of the wrist hurt and just the little finger?... Well the evidence you offer does not fit nerve entrapment, so maybe it is a problem local to the edge of the hand, maybe a muscular one, maybe you slept on it,....but this is all guess work as you need an examination and you need to explain how you use your hands.....and that cannot happen on-line. It may even be a simple Neuropathy brought on by a cold, or it may be a complicated one form say.....Diabetes?
Again I could give you if's and but's to highlight any symptom, but see a medical professional and find out for definite if there is any problem.

Ah due to the time differences in posts being refreshed I would say that your wrist injury is the place to start? Now you are in the areas of misalignment of wrist bones, maybe diet ( gout can be result of a bad diet ) maybe a..........well you got the idea in my previous post....get it checked out properly because if it is due to that injury then it is not healing and may develop into something else.

Rub some dirt in it!

Seriously... get some medical advice and stop doing anything that irritates it until you do. The worse it gets now, the longer the recovery will be until you have full motion without pain.

It is better to take a little precautionary time off now than to take a lot of forced time off later. Or worse, a permanent vacation.

The more you think on it the more you may find the 'key' to the problem. Some things in life cause problems, some things are indicators. Just because you get pain from say playing bass, playing bass may not be the problem....not everyone plays bass so they might never get the pain, so the bass is an indicator or a different problem. I'm sure you have the idea now that it should be seen by a medical pro.
Good luck and drop a post back to up-date the thread if you do get to the bottom of it.

I play with a straight wrist and my thumb up on the side of the neck. No bending of my wrist. Never a wrist/hand problem. You might try it to see if it helps.

Listen to Fergie!

Good luck.
