Hi all, I really want to start adding this technique into my arsenal, and there are lots of cool vids that give a general idea of what's involved. It seems like every video I've watched are of a fixed camera shots, however.

Anyone know of any vids with closeups of either/both hands, or vids with multiple angles? Thanks!

Check out the Anthony Vitti videos. Great videos and his technique is awesome. Made me realize how bad my tech is.

Two guys started this: Louis Johnson with the Brothers Johnson and Larry Graham with Sly and the Family Stone and Graham Central Station.

Try youtubing them and *gasp* buy and album from each. Emulating them by ear is going to do more for your thumb than anything else!

Remember- all of the "classic" cats had to learn things by ear. Ever wonder why we ain't had a big "bass pioneer" in a minute? Because those guys used their ears, not their eyes.

What the hey.
