ZeroGravity Orbit Guitar Pick?

Anybody here try this thing?

Looks interesting.

I imagine I could go back and forth between picking and thumping/popping with ease. I wonder if I could do the same with pick and pizzicato. That ring might be awkward.

Thats either really ingenious, or its gonna fail hard.

Personally I think it looks cool, but a bit expensive for a pick.

"Palming" the pick, or holding it in your fingers when you switch back and forth seems a lot easier actually than having on a ring, flopping around.

Check the reviews, there's some mention of it's strength and it's wearing out quickly. I imagine if that's a problem on a regular guitar, it'll just fall apart on a bass.

But on a guitar, one often vigorously strums chords. On a bass, it's different. I think I'm going to try it out.

And yes, I often do feel as though the pick moves around on me.

But I often mute the upper stings with my pinky and ring finger.

JAUQO III-X, has an interesting take on the issue:

Wow. I might try out Jauqo's method. Seems like a really good way to alternate pick

My Zerogravity picks came in and they're cool. The part that tethers around the finger is made of a soft flexible rubber. I'll see how durable it is.

The actual pick is .6mm which is in the range I use. I'm a little clumsy flipping it out of the way to play fingerstyle or thumping and then flipping it back again, but I'll get better with practice. It's an interesting concept that I may stick with for the long haul. I'll see.

I have a device that's got this beat. It's called my mouth.

Yes and no. If you have to sing lead or backups?

And I find that normal picks have never sit well in my hand over any period of time. This thing keeps in in exactly the same place no matter how hard I play.

I would be tempted to try one if they ever came out with a x-heavy.

I'm going to look into other gauges, as I'd like it a bit heavier myself.

I would give my right testicle (no, really, I'm not using it much!) to get heavier versions of this pick. I combine this with a Planet Waves Adjustable Insert Pick and I get something that sounds close to a finger, feels like a pick, and can't be dropped. Means I still get to have a career (hooray!). But .60mm is REALLY floppy for me... I've searched and searched and cannot find the company who makes this (or any presence they have online other than the big internet stores that sell the picks).

A bouquet of flowers to anyone who can get me in touch with the main company, or find these picks in a heavier gauge!

at first I thought this post was a joke by the title. Kind of reminded me of how they keep coming up with new toothbrushes. Then I read....

...exactly what I was thinking. At least the zero gravity orbit wont give you a gum infection!
