*OFF MARKET* FS: Marco Raposo German Bow *PRICE DROP*

Selling a Marco Raposo pernambuco German style bow. This was purchased as an experiment and found that I prefer a French bow. Measures 29.5" tip to end, hair length is 22" and weight is 133.6 grams. It sounds fabulous on my bass to my old crusty ears but I play mainly jazz pizz. I will say that it sounds richer and louder with a lot more harmonics than my Coda Revelation French carbon fibre bow.

$1000 $900 $850 $800 including shipping (lower 48 states only)

I don't want to speak for Glenn, but I think he got it from Lisa Gass at LA Bassworks. He stopped by this morning to look at the Roberto Giormenti bass I had, and I wanted to check out the Raposo bow.

The bow is very nice, well balanced and very well made. Not my cup of tea, but a very good bow... And Glenn's a very nice guy!

Thanks, LouisF, for your information about Raposo bow as well as Glenn is a nice guy. So, this Raposo bow was first selected by Lisa, this is another good news. I got my current Prescott from Lisa's some 7-8 years ago.

Yes, the bow came from L.A. Bassworks about a year ago, and most people know that LouisF happens to be a pretty cool fellow. Thanks for the good words Louis.

Thanks Francois.

I couldn't find the thread, did a search and found it.

Yes, please close this thread, decided to hang on to the bow for the time being.
