*SOLD* 1940 American Standard Bass

SOLD

This is serial number 1124 which according the database was made in 1940. Now before I go into the description don't yell at me. This is the condition that I received it and it has been very stable for 12+ years. I've gigged on it exclusively until I got my 125 year old carved German bass. Haven't used it much since. It has also been gigged on by Jay Anderson, Sean Smith and Phil Palombi when they came through town. No one ever complained and Phil quite liked it. It has a big sound that moves a lot of air. Currently strung with Dominants.

Now for full disclosure. The neck/body joint has been "repaired" very poorly. Screws and who knows what kind of glue. Like I said it's very stable but the neck leans a little forward so the bridge is rather short. The neck itself is in good condtion with no cracks. The body is well worn and scratched up. Fingerboard is ebony and has its original tuners.

Because of it's condition I'm only asking $800 for it. Mind you this is a completely playable and good sounding bass that has issues. I would prefer not to ship it but if you are not within driving distance I'll be glad to ship it if you make all of the arrangements. Email or PM me with questions.
