This is a great old Kay bass located in New York City. It is a dark colored violin cornered model that sounds great and has lots of upgrades. It has a recent thick ebony fingerboard, Despiau French maple bridge, upgraded hardwood tailpiece, and a Goetz click-stop endpin. It currently has a Fishman Full Circle pick-up and Spirocore Weich strings and will come with a black Mooradian case.
I've been constantly given compliments on the sound of this bass and while it's not cosmetically perfect, it is in top playing condition having been maintained lately by Bill Merchant. I would love to keep it, but I have to sell to finance the purchase of another bass. I'll be back in New York on Sunday and will take some pictures as soon as I can. For those of you in the area, I'm located near 125th st. & Broadway in Manhattan and would be happy to show the bass to prospective buyers.
The price is $3,350 including all the accessories listed plus a bass stand.
Thanks,
