| *SOLD* 3/4 Carved Top Double Bass with Bow and Pickup *PRICE DROP*
There are too many elephants in my music room. I need to get rid of one. This bass was made in Romania. It has a spruce top, ebony purfling, laminated maple back and sides. Ebony fingerboard, nut, saddle and tailpiece. Maple bridge, adjustable end pin, and German machines, comes with nylon-cordura bag. This bass gives the sound of a fully carved instrument with the durability of a laminated bass. I have played this bass for almost ten years now and the sound has opened up nicely. In that time I have upgraded the end pin and added adjusters to the bridge. Also, the fingerboard has been planned.
This is a good beginner or intermediate bass and sounds great as both a classical or jazz instrument. Currently set up with classical strings.
To sweeten this deal a bit I will include a bow and a pickup. The bow is a french style bow with an octagonal brazilwood stick and ebony frog. I will include a soft case(sleeve) for the bow. The pickup is a Fishman BP-100. I'm asking $1800, I will consider all serious offers. Please feel free to come by and play it if you live near South Jersey/Philadelphia.
