looking to trade my '39 kay c-1 for a good martin d-18 or d-28 or will sell for $2000.
bass has had extensive work. new neck and board. new neck block. new bridge with new pirastro obligato strings. bass is not original but has good tone and decent volume. plays well enough for bluegrass or jazz. original tuners have been modified to work on the new neck.
pm me for more details.

Reason: sold
well you know how well kay basses are thought of here on tb. they are great for bg but not so good for high felutin' music. lol. i'm a bluegrasser and love kay basses but bluegrass hardly exists in central alabama and i could use a good guitar.
nice guitar for sure and a loooooooong drive. got an offer for a lidl hybrid and a nice spruce top/rosewood body D28 copy for my bass but it is not a done deal yet. he loaned the guitar out and is waiting to get it back
