I went over to see the bass today and it is a little hunny. Very good condition. Very playable as you would imagine. Definitely moves some air and feels great under the fingers and the bow. The E is gorgeous.
Ritchietime is a great player and this is a players instrument. If you're looking for something carved that is smaller but still loud you would do well to check it out. I've got this one earmarked....

Ah, the Messina bag. I used to take lessons from Dave Messina. He was a good teacher, and he makes great cases!

Would you mind posting some measurements? Specifically: upper bout width, lower bout width, and rib depth?

Thanks. Nice looking bass.

Bumpity Bump Bump.

So I took the bass in yesterday and had the fingerboard plained and dressed to eliminate some minor buzzing.
Much better thanks to Bill Merchant.
