*SOLD* Artone, 50 Gauge A-String

Wound gut string with baby blue and gold silk at the tailpiece, baby blue silk at the other end.
A search brought up this thread: Red-O-Ray strings?
I got the string used in the early 80's. The winding is oxidized.
No clue as to its value: say $6.25?
Thanks!

Looks like a very old La Bella to me, Artones have regular knot-tyed loops at the tailpiece ends - La Bella have a loop "built-in" to the gut at the end.

Thank you for your insight Gearhead43. Both this string and an empty La Bella envelope were stuffed into this Artone envelope.

So I wonder if this other wound gut here with green & black lower silk, knotted loop, black silk up top and no oxidation is indeed the Artone?

BTW, on hold pending commitment to purchase.

Thank you.

Looks like my Artones. My A has red gut though. The whole Artone set has loops.
