| Some time back I read some threads about this mic when it was the big buzz on the DB forums.
I remember struggling to connect people's descriptions of their mounting issues, with the photos on DPA's website.
Maybe you could indulge a few questions:
- So that bass clip is the one that hangs from the after-length strings, right? With a gooseneck?
There was some difference of opinion about whether, for DB, it was better to get a version with a high pass filter, or without.
- Yours doesn't have one? Did you have issues with rumble/boom?
-I'm not even clear: Is DPA's HP filter contained in the XLR socket?
- If I decided I wanted to reach further up the bass top, could I buy a different kind of clip from DPA -- for instance, the guitar clamp?
- If I did, would that also entail using the HP filter that comes with other versions of the mic? Or are the various kinds of clips separate items that you can buy alone?
