| *SOLD* Eastman VB100 3/4 carved top / laminated back I bought this a few months ago to try my hand at upright and have decided to return to concentrating on electric. It's an Eastman but I'm unsure of the model. Edit: Forgive me for being a bit of a moron. With flashlight in hand I was able to see the sticker inside the bass which reads:
Samuel Eastman
Anno: 2000 No. VB100
Made in the workshop of Christopher
Beijing, China
So there you go. It's a VB100. The little bit of information I was able to dig up suggests that it has a carved solid top and the rest is laminate. Seems to be at the top of their beginner line.
I bought it locally from a girl who had played in the local youth symphony and was heading off to college. Prior to purchase it was set up at a local violin shop with a new set of Helicore Hybrids. I'm not terribly sure how it compares to other beginner-level instruments, but my teacher was favorably impressed with it's volume and tone.
Comes with a Fishman BP-100 pickup and a soft case. The case has a tear at the bottom where the two zippers come together around the peg, but it's still functional.
Asking $1200. I'm always interested in trades, particularly for 6 string fretted or fretless electric bass guitars. I could also use a few new cabinets, but feel free to run anything by me.
Not looking to ship but will happily work to deliver / meet up within reasonable driving distance of Richmond, VA.
Thanks very much,
J.
Additional pictures. Plenty more available. Just ask!
