| *SOLD* FS: 1946 Kay 5 String Upright Bass
A 1946 Kay Model M-5 Upright Bass. Model number 13290, there were less than 1000 5 string basses made by Kay!
It is in beautiful shape and sounds great. It has been housed the entire time I've had it, no storage units or garages. It has a jazz bridge but no pickups. The finish is a little rough, but there are no punctures of the body. It's neck was broken and professionally repaired before I purchased it 10 years ago, I had the repair checked out when I bought it and they said it was an exceptional repair job. It could use some new strings, I haven't replaced them since I got it. It comes with an upright stand but has no bag or bow.
