| *SOLD* FS:1962 KAY C1 Double Bass*PRICE DROP*
This bass has the big Kay “thump” with a great deal of volume and projection. It is set up to play easily. Laminated Spruce top and laminated sides and back. 41 in string length. Rosewood fingerboard and tailpiece. It’s in excellent condition considering it’s age with only minor dings. No delaminations or cracks. It has a new adjustable bridge and an upgraded endpin. The lacquer finish was removed decades ago which resulted in a more refined tone since the bass was no longer being choked by the multicoats of bad finish. It is currently wearing a brown/red oil varnish and looks and sounds fantastic.
It comes equipped with a K&K Sound Bass Master Pro upright bass dual pickup system which combines the K&K Bass Max and the Double Big Twin pickups allowing you to mix them using a tiny two-channel preamplifier (included). It also comes with a vinyl (non padded) cover and a K&M stand. You can see pics of the bass here:
