This Musima, made in Germany, Eberle laminated Bass was purchased from 'Ideal Music' in NYC last fall. It comes with all ebony fittings, a spruce top and maple sides and back. It was new old stock (manufactured in mid-80s). The bass is in excellent condition. No fingerboard wear. No nicks or scratches. Never gigged. It is currently strung with a new set of Helicore Hybrid strings.
Included is:
a. Quality vinyl Upright-Bass bag ($139.00)
b. Set of Labella 1006 Supernil Nylon Wound Double Bass Strings ($72.00 at Elderly.com)
c. K&M Upright Bass Stand ($82.00 at FQMS.com).
I'll also include Mark Schatz's Beginning AND Intermediate 'Bluegrass Bass' on (2) VHS tapes.
In all over $300 of extras!!! The current Ideal Music price for the Eberle laminated bass is $950 plus shipping which is approximately $175 to $200 or more depending on what part of the country you live in. I really need to sell this one so I've reduced the price to $875 including all of the extras. It is ready to play. No set-up required. No extras to buy.
Due to the size and weight issues, I would rather not ship...I would be willing to meet someone within a reasonable distance (I'm located in central Kentucky about 1 hour south of Louisville - 1 hour north of Bowling Green) I would consider partial trade for a decent electric bass guitar and cash...Let me know what you have and maybe we can work a deal! Thanks
Here's a couple more...
...and a couple of the bag.

I don't know how far your definition of a reasonable distance is, but I would be willing to meet somewhere in between. Another possible solution would be that I'm driving out to Evansville, Indiana with some friends at the end of July. I don't know if you want to wait that long to sell it but if you still have it by then I'd love to make a detour and come try it out. Let me know what you think. If not I'll keep my eye on the e-bay listing while I keep looking. |

I would be willing to wait on eBay till you get to Evansville if you're pretty sure you'll be here and you are definitely interested? I can surely wait another month! Let me know if this sounds good...
Will you be traveling across I-64 thru the Louisville area?
Thanks, Chuck |

Last time we took I-80 a long way but then I'm not sure exactly what we did when we turned south. I'm currently looking at a few offers a little closer to home but I'd be happy to come take a look if nothing works out. I know that's not very definite so if you don't want to wait I understand, but if I'm still in the market and you still have the bass on you I can definitely come check it out. |
