| *SOLD* FS : Wan Bernadel Bass This beautiful fully carved bass is based on the French Gand-Bernadel double bass with some modern touches like narrower shoulders to facilitate upper register playing. It has a sweet warm almost vocal like tone. I thought it sounded better than many more expensive basses that I auditioned when I first purchased it 5 years ago. Great projection and focus with a quick response. It has a spruce top with beautiful flamed maple sides and a moderately flamed back. It plays very easily and is set up with a low string height presently with Evah weichs and a Spirocore E. String length is 41 in. It has an Aubert adjustable bridge and a German endpin.
You can see more info on the Wan Bernadel here. http://www.stringemporium.com/bernadel.htm
This bass has opened up nicely since it was new although it never had the “new” edgy sound that some Chinese basses have. I’ll sell this for $900 less than a new one and it is in perfect shape. It comes with a Mooradian case.
This has become my main bass and I really don’t want to sell it but I’m purchasing a very expensive double bass and I’m forced to sell this in order to fund the new purchase.
