*SOLD* Fully Carved Double Bass

This bass was appraised 2 1/2 years ago at $6,500. I am asking $3500 for the summer ONLY. This is an absolute steal at this price. After the summer it will be going on consignment for at at least $5000. It is a very loud instrument and very clear sounding. It is a joy to play Bach on because of the great resonance it has. It works for any type of music. It is a chinese bass but don't let that scare you away...it's very nice....there are some things about this bass that my newer bass (which is about 3x the price) does not quite do.

OK I will take $3250. This price is 2k less than it should be. I was actually told once by a couople pro players that this bass could fetch 6-7k. Great instrument for student all the way up through college level and semi pro symphonic work and even for a pro jazzer. New Kolstein case included. Wonderfull singing highs! Great jazz pizz! Very open!

There are a couple maintenance issues since I have not played the bass for some time.
1 tight endpin
2 small crack

Neither are hugely serious issues.....carved basses are bound to crack at some point. This fine bass deserves to be played! Again, this price is unbeatable.....you cannot get a better deal unless you get one for free.
