It's got a carved top and laminate back and sides. It sounds good arco or pizzicato. It's currently strung with D'Addario Hybrids. I am asking $1200 or would consider trades/trade+cash as well. I am in the market for a Whizzy 10", Raezer's Edge cab, Acoustic Image extension cab or similar. Get in touch if you are interested.

I'm near Fort Wayne Indiana, and would also be willing to drive a bit to help close the deal. |

I was trying to justify why I need it, but it's hard to make a case for owning a 4th bass. Probably I should concentrate on practicing instead.
Good luck with the sale!

I don't know anything about the particular builder, do you have a link to a thread discussing them? How would it compare to, say, an Upton Standard or a Shen Hybrid? Anyone please chime in if you have experience. Secondly, can you give me a shipping quote to 28805? Thanks!
edit: I just found your post after you had just bought the bass. Did you ever do any upgrades or have it set-up?

As for comparisons, I've owned a Shen SB180 and this bass is very comparable. It seems a bit mellower than the Shen hybrids that I've heard. I've heard a lot of variation in the Shens though so who knows. I don't have any experience with Upton basses, so I can't say anything on that.
I really don't want to hassle with shipping this. I'll be happy to ship it but the buyer needs to make all the arrangements. My zip code is 46755.

Lots of interest, but with me being in the middle of nowhere, it's been tough. I guess I just need to move to an area where there are more bassists! |
