*SOLD* Jay Haide Model L’Ancienne with Big Sound – Northern Cal - $5200

This fully-carved 2004 bass has a large body and a strong sound, with full upper and lower bouts. Big resonant voice for pizz and under the bow. I consistently receive rave reviews about its sound in bluegrass and folk settings. I believe that Jay Haide basses are manufactured in China, but there is nothing weak about the workmanship or sound of this instrument. Upgraded at Upton Bass in 2006 with Upton adjustable bridge, new tailpiece, and Revolution Solo pickup. Evah Pirazzis strings. Includes case.

• Length of back: 44.5 in
• Width at upper bout: 21.0 in
• Width at center: 14.5 in
• Width at lower bout: 26.5 in
• Depth of lower ribs, inc both plates: 9.0 in

The rib measurements are fairly consistent bottom-to-top:

• Depth of ribs at end pin, inc both plates: 9.0 in
• Depth of ribs at lower bout, inc both plates: 9.0 in
• Depth of ribs at C bout, inc both plates: 8 7/8 in
• Depth of ribs at upper bout, inc both plates: 9.0 in
• Depth of ribs at neck joint, inc both plates: 7.0 in.

There is an angle break in the upper back - see attached photos.
