*SOLD* Juzek Laminated Bass - Serious Vintage Bass Mojo!

Juzek 3/4-size bass, laminated (plywood) construction. This bass throws off some major old school vibe! The sound is full and even, with a rich, mature tone for a laminated bass. Just the thing for trad jazz, roots, bluegrass, even for a school orchestra, where it spent part of its life. It would also make a great back-up bass for those outdoor venues and questionable bar gigs. No date shown on the label inside, but is estimated to be post-WWII (1950s/1960s). Overall condition of this bass is good and healthy. My local luthier recently inspected and set up this bass, including a bridge with adjusters and dressing the thick ebony fingerboard. The finish shows lots of wear with a few touch-up spots, and the front and back edges of the lower treble-side bout are especially worn; however, there is no delamination. The only repair is a small patch on the bass-side upper rib (toward the player) which is stable. Currently strung with Pirastro Obligatos for great all-around play. Located in the Buffalo, New York area. Priced to move at $1200!

I go to Buffalo all of the time I would stop by if I was in the market for a bass like that, looks like a great deal!

I'd definitely check it out if I was in the market for another one. This is close to me.

Would you be interested in trades?

Thanks for your interest...and humor! I'm sorry that I'm not interested in trades. This is one bass too many for me, and I am set with my other gear.

Edit: I didn't mean to say that the request for a trade was humorous. I was referrring to the jabs about Buffalo! During the winter I often refer to it as Planet Hoth.
