I'm attaching some photos of the bass below. Upgrades include a Laborie tailpiece, black tailgut from Steve Selin, two Kolstein adjustable bridges, wooden endpin hole for Laborie or straight endpins. Just checked out by Kolstein last week and everything was put back in order, sound post readjustment etc. I also paid for a written appraisal and here is what Kolstein himself wrote:
"The 3/4 size, violin cornered, round back model Bass Violin, the property of John Romey, is in our opinion, a Liandro DiVacenze Master Art Guarneri model. The top table is a two piece plate of medium vertical grained spruce. The back table isa two piece plate of moderately flamed maple. The ribs are of matching character maple to that of the back table. The neck and scroll are both original of moderately flamed maple. The gears are individual Baker style tuning gears. The varnish is a deep reddish brown; antiqued. The overall body length is: 43-3/4 inches. The Bass Violin is in excellent condition,
